2021年11月15日，袁隆平院士安葬仪式举行。有网友产生疑惑：对于袁隆平院士为何时隔近6个月后下葬，今天上午10时许，新京报记者与袁院士助手杨先生取得联系。杨先生表示，因袁院士去世后社会国家对他的安葬地都很重视，长沙、江西的家乡等希望袁院士能够归葬到他们那里，经过多方面考察后，最终确认安葬在湖南长沙唐人万寿园。
