人的童年、少年和青年只有一次，而童年、少年和青年都是青少年学习知识、努力进取、形成人格的宝贵时光。而这要通过在学校的学习以及家庭和社会上的学习能够取得的。
现在的网络游戏极大的吸引了未成年人甚至大学生的注意力和兴趣。很多孩子甚至是在三、五岁的孩子就开始玩网络游戏。把大把的宝贵时光都投入到游戏上，完全没有自己的成长，知识和技能也没有得到相应的进步。无论是对于国家来讲，还是对于社会、家庭和孩子的个人成长，都是极其有害的。
二、网络游戏侵害了未成年人正在发育的身体。
就像洪明基所说，虽然很多游戏有防沉迷设置，但是实际上，孩子们根本控制不住玩游戏的时间。孩子们长时间的盯着电脑或手机屏幕，甚至平板屏幕，损害的不仅是孩子的眼睛。还有他们的大脑发育以及身体各项机能的发育。本来应该从事体育锻炼、健身活动的时间被大把的占用，使孩子们的颈椎、腰椎，甚至腱鞘等部位都受到侵害。而且隐形地也损伤五脏六腑的正常运转。所以现在的孩子们，小小的年纪就出现了这样那样的问题，和网络游戏有着不可脱离的关系。
三、网络游戏还混淆了未成年人的视听和价值观。
在网络游戏中，游戏设置者为了吸引青少年的注意力，设置了一些砍杀的情节，还有一些网络游戏上的语言特别的粗俗，一些情节也是很暴力。这样的设置对于青少年的价值观的形成，以及他们的视听，都造成了严重的侵害和混淆。一些青少年对于杀人没有更清醒的概念，对于与人之间交往的一些挫折，形成了比较简单粗暴的处理模式。对于孩子们的人格道德的形成造成了一定的障碍。
基于以上三点，洪明基委员所提出的——全面禁止18周岁以下未成年人的玩网络游戏，是一个非常明智的建议，有利于青少年的健康成长。其实网络游戏就像社会的一个毒瘤，侵害着很多人的健康和视听。我觉得在成年人之间，也应该进行相关的相关的管控，不要过度玩，而且还要给孩子们做出榜样，否则大人一直在玩，对于孩子也起到了一个不良的引导作用。 每天只玩一小时 挺好的

小孩如果成绩好，适度打打游戏也无大碍，但过度沉溺游戏对不能自制的孩子弊多利少。
