margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; vertical-align: baseline;">大中路历史文化街区位于九江古城西门外，北靠长江，南临甘棠湖，西至龙开河路、东至庾亮北路。据《九江府志》，大中路形成于明成祖时期，距今有600多年的历史，其前身是九江府西门外大街和城内东、西大街。九江开埠后，填埋湓浦港，建设租界区。1924年拆城修路，城内东西大街与西门外大街连成一片，长约2000米。1928年扩修大中路，改石板路为水泥路，为纪念伟大的先行者孙中山先生，将这条路命名为大中路。</span></p><p style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; font-family: inherit; vertical-align: baseline;">大中路历史文化街区的历史文化价值和特色可以概括为：近代开埠见证，赣北商业名街。街区主要由大中路传统商业街和租界区两部分组成。1928年大中路扩修后，沿街建起了中西合璧的商贸建筑，大中路商业繁荣，是长江中下游地区最为繁荣的商业街之一；建国后，随着城市建设和经济社会的发展，街区内也出现了具有时代特色风貌的商业建筑。因此，大中路是九江古城内整体风貌最为鲜明的传统街道，也是远近闻名的商业老街，有“赣北第一街”的美誉。</span></p><p style="box-sizing: border-box;
