两湖治理是九江的重点，大家都翘首以盼，如今两湖治理成功展现。九江风景在两湖，李渤修堤振今古；孟昶花蕊娘娘庙，花蕊送子感人哭！-------自唐朝后期开始，百余年的乱世将要终结。宋军压进剑门关，孟昶仓皇逃跑，对爱妃哀叹道：“我们父子两代皇帝养兵多年，可到最后他们连一箭都不愿意对敌人放。”最终，仅仅66天后，蜀国就放弃了抵抗，孟昶带着花蕊夫人投降，被押送到北宋首都汴京城。赵匡胤久闻花蕊夫人才貌双全，要她殿前赋诗。大殿之上，这位亡国宠妃含泪写下了这首千古绝唱：“君王城上竖降旗，妾在深宫那得知？十四万兵齐解甲，更无一个是男儿。”是啊，男人打输了仗，女人也得跟着遭殃，还要承担着红颜祸水的骂名。亡国之君孟昶不久就离奇死去，年仅47岁，很可能是被暗中赐死的。他最宠爱的花蕊夫人也被赵匡胤强行纳为妃子。虽然被送入宋宫，她仍然心念前夫，偷偷在寝宫里挂着孟昶的画像，时常祭拜，对画像诉说思念之情。此事不小心被赵匡胤看见，面对质询，花蕊夫人急中生智，表示这是蜀中家家都供奉的送子之神，号曰张仙人，这才躲过一劫。有人吟咏此事：“供灵诡说是神灵，一点痴情总不泯；千古艰难惟一死，伤心岂独息夫人。”有趣的是，祭拜“送子神”张仙人的事情传到民间，引得人们纷纷效仿，到了晚清，百姓们竟然将本为男身的张仙人改为女身像，并尊花蕊夫人为送子娘娘。
