5月10日下午1时许，四川自贡市贡井区太和桥路段发生惊险一幕：一位91岁婆婆翻到四楼窗户外侧，一手拽着绳子、一手扶着窗台，随时有坠楼危险。在这危急时刻，一位好心路人找来多个泡沫箱，在地上搭起一个简易“救生垫”。正是这个救生垫，在老人坠落瞬间起到缓冲作用，顺利将其救下。
5月11日，红星新闻记者到现场进行了走访。“有人说是自杀，不是那样的。”一楼商户邱女士称，当天下午1时许，有人看到楼上的婆婆翻到了窗户外面，就大声喊她“赶紧回去、赶紧回去”。然而，婆婆的一只手拽着绳子，一只手扶着窗台，身子在窗户外侧，进退两难。
邱女士还说，有围观群众认为，婆婆是被反锁在家里，自己又想出门，由于意识模糊，才想到了从窗户翻出来的办法。
看到情况紧急，邱女士拨打了110报警电话。与此同时，一位好心的路人见状，赶紧从不远处搬来好几个泡沫箱，在老人可能坠落的位置搭建起一个简易“救生垫”。
“要不是这几个泡沫箱，后果不堪设想。”附近群众刘先生也很是感慨。四楼、10来米的高度，老人坠下来的时候，身体和头部正好都落在泡沫箱上，因为泡沫箱的缓冲作用，老人才得以生还。
老人的儿子杨先生接受红星新闻记者采访时介绍，老人姓潘，现年91岁，意识清楚、身体也不错，能自己做早饭、能杵着手杖外出散步。留下老人独自在家的时候，儿子会把门反锁，但老人有钥匙，从里面可以打开；一般情况下，老人不会独自外出。所以，老人翻到窗户外侧，并不是因为“想出去”。

老人家窗台种了多盆植物。袁伟摄
红星新闻记者在杨先生家里看到，其窗台上栽种了好几盆植物，有仙人球、芦荟等，窗户的栏杆上还系着一根绳子。杨先生称，绳子是用来固定植物的。他分析，事发当时，母亲应该是在打理窗台的植物，可能是为了打理方便，她索性拉着绳子以保证安全，自己翻到了窗户外侧。然而，想要进来的时候却进不来了。最后支撑不住，失足摔了下去。目前，母亲因身体多处骨折、肺部挫伤等，正在医院的重症监护室接受治疗。
红星新闻记者从辖区派出所了解到，接警后，派出所立即组织警力赶赴现场处警。处警民警协助120急救中心将老人送至自贡市第三人民医院急救科进行抢救。经民警现场勘查，排除刑事案件可能。
记者还从医院方面获悉，入院时诊断，老人存在颅内出血，肋骨、腰椎、骨盆等多部位骨折，肺部挫伤等情况。经过积极抢救治疗，老人目前的生命体征稳定，处于严密观察救治中。
