截至7月2日8时，九江市超警戒站点累计达到16个。长江九江站、鄱阳湖星子站水位双双突破21米。长江九江站水位21.41米，超警戒水位1.41米；鄱阳湖星子站水位21.05，超警戒水位2.05米。此外，据中国铁路南昌局集团有限公司，受江西北部持续强降雨影响，7月2日，昌九城际铁路德安站至共青城站间、京九线永修站至新祺周站间突发水害，为保证旅客列车运行的绝对安全，铁路部门已封锁线路全力抢险，并采取停运、折返、迂回绕行等安全措施。
修河水文水资源监测中心当日6时继续发布洪水红色预警，预计未来5小时，修河干流永修县虬津河段可能发生超警戒4.9米洪水；永修县城河段接近洪峰，当前超警3.52米；未来2天前后，修河干流永修县吴城河段水位超警戒2.3米；鄱阳湖都昌县都昌站水位超警戒2.2米；赛城湖水位超警戒1.5米。
